What to expect

As you deal with a difficult, stressful, even frightening situation, we are here to stand by your side, to explain how the legal system works, and to help you expand your options as much as possible.

Here’s what you can expect from us:



We will return your messages promptly—always within one business day, usually much sooner. We know that your case is a big deal, that it’s stressful, and that you need information. We will let you know right away if anything changes with your case, such as when the other side makes an offer or when new information comes to light.  
We will keep what you tell us confidential. We will bring everything I have to help you with your legal problem—Our experience, education, intelligence, people skills, legal knowledge, everything. And if there’s something we don’t know but need to find out, we’ll find out. You will control what your goals are with the case—Do you want to go to trial? Work out an agreement? We’ll take it from there, but you will always be in charge of what direction we go.
We will explain your options and what is happening with your case. The law can be difficult to understand, and it’s important to us that you understand everything you need to in order to make solid decisions. We will always provide thorough, detailed, high-quality representation that judges and other lawyers respect. We will send you regular statements that let you know what you’re getting for your money.
We will set up in our first meeting what our fees are, and we will follow up in writing, so there are no surprises. We will also set up in our first meeting what the scope of the representation will be, to make sure we’re on the same page. We will always treat you with appreciation and respect.
